“I will give you favor.” Exodus 3:21
God tells Israel, “I will give you favor in the sight of the Egyptians: and…when ye go, ye shall not go empty handed.” As you continue to read, God promises the Israelite people two things: Favor with their enemies, and provision for their needs. When He brought them out of their captivity, they received both.
There is a lesson for us to take home from this text. Don’t feel abandoned, God will work on your behalf. Think about what God used to free the people and deliver them from their situation—frogs, flies, hail, locust, etc.
LISTEN. What was used to destroy the Israelites enemies was the very thing that brought about their deliverance. God can do all things. Let Him be your everything.
Don’t forget. The frogs that where sent by God could not cross into the property of the Israelites. Why? Because Gods favor will protect you against your enemies! Take a moment and think of the things that have close to you, but not touch you?
Ezra said in 8:31, “The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies”. Pharaoh was emphatic in saying no to Moses. Yet He eventually said yes. I believe it has something to do with timing! God will move when it is right. All in His timing.
Psalms 23:6 says: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life”. Surely, Not maybe. Surely.
