“Who with reason despises the day of small things?” Zechariah 4:10 AMP
Everything big, begins with something small, and your attitude in the beginning often determines your success in the end.
The Bible says: “Who with reason despises the day of small things?” We need to be grateful for what God gives us to start with. We need to thank Him for our small beginnings.
In 1 Kings 18:44 it says that Elijah saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand. Even though it was a small thing, he rejoiced over it because it was a small sign of things to come. We must be careful to not destroy our seed by doubting the potential that lies within it. God might give you a seed of hope. It may be small but something is better than nothing. Take that seed, plant it, pray for it, and believe that God will bring the increase. To often in life we toss out our seed. We “despise” it and ultimately diminish its potential.
If God gives us something to care for and we don’t, we lose it. Don’t lose your seed, because when you lose your seed you never get to experience the harvest. Don’t miss out on experiencing all that God has for you. Be patient, always expecting, always moving forward. “Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise” (Hebrews 10:35-36 NKJV).
